Α seminar on children’s nutrition and health in Cyprus was organized on March 21 by the CUT’s School of Health Sciences and the Swiss Center for Biological Medicine.

Dr. Xydas (from the Swiss Center for Biological Medicine) reported that disease is linked to toxicity and that toxicity stems from individual diet and personal behaviors, including the quality and quantity of the diet.

The relationship between nutrition and the health of children was highlighted by Dr. Makris, who presented the ORGANIKO intervention study. Data on public health study on exposure to pesticides and child health indicators (childhood obesity, neurodevelopmental disorders) were presented.
